Who The Son Has Set Free Is Free Indeed

Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed – John 8:34-36 NKJV

Do you often think of giving up?

You are not alone. It’s often the most prevalent thought in anyone’s mind when we meet with a roadblock. How much more a believer?

These thoughts also come when you are doing something worthwhile and the devil wants to discourage you. A lot of our battles begin in our mind and you need to cast down thoughts that are not in obedience to Christ.

It also helps to remember that thoughts of giving up are from the evil one who has come to discourage you from going on with God’s work.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled – 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV

You have to stand firm in the Word of the Lord and not be easily swayed because when you allow yourself to get discouraged, you miss the promised reward of freedom in Christ Jesus.

You cannot tell how soon your reward will come or in what form, but it will come and in time.

Have you ever had your prayer answered? That should encourage you that even when God doesn’t do it in your time, his time will work better for you.

Let’s say a prayer:
Giving up seems like the best option right now. Lord I ask that you help me to remember where this thought is coming from and to keep believing you to perfect Your will in Jesus’ name, Amen🙏🏾

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith – Galatians 3:13-14 NKJV

A curse-free life is one of the benefits you get when you become a believer.

Christ has destroyed the basis for every curse, even generational curses. Don’t let the enemy deceive you into believing a lie.

You are not only curse-free, you are blessed!
